Roots 2011
The "reconaissance" of every person's identity is directly dependent on the homeland, language and culture.
For the Armenian Diaspora, the preservation of its diverse culture and the historical transfer to younger generations require sustained effort and a struggle on a daily effort, by every such community. In its 90 years' period of existence, the Armenian community of Greece has had the ability to form several unions and groups dedicated to a cause, open schools, churches and publish newspapers. Through the collective efforts of dedicated compatriots the Armenian soul is still alive with love for the Armenian language and culture. The documentary made it to several theaters around the world, where Armenian communities are the most represented, among which, as a premier, in "Arpa International Los Angeles film festival" in Hollywood (Egyptian theater). |
